- Entertained patients of Tuberculosis Hospital
- Established Blood Bank at Tampa General Hospital
- Supported Community Chest, Salvation Army and Easter Seals
1950-1955
- University scholarships continued
- Furniture and volunteers for Helping Hand Nursery
- Collected silk stockings to ship to war widows in Japan who made silk flowers to support their children
- Scholarships for Girl Scout Summer Camp
1955-1960
- Assisted in registering aliens for the Federal Government
- Established an International Interpreters Directory
- Volunteered at the Girls Juvenile Home
- Organized four Junior Girls Service Clubs- Z Clubs
- Supported YWCA Building Fund and Foreign Student Exchange Program
- Honored in 1959 as the Club with the most outstanding Service Program in Zonta International World
1960-1965
- Participated in raising money to build the first Girls Club of Tampa
- Added scholarships for the new University of South Florida
- Supported new educational TV station, WEDU
- Six Z clubs established the “Garden of Essence” for the blind
- Gathered medical supplies for the Albert Sweitzer Hospital in Haiti
1965-1970
- Established Braille Reading Room at University of Tampa
- Developed film for Police Department on increase of narcotic use
- Salvation Army Christmas Toy Store
- Continued support of Girls Club
- Organized two International ZONTA CLUBS in South America
- Supported Foster Grandparents Program
1970-1975
- Collected household items for victims of Hurricane Camille
- Organized a new ZONTA CLUB in Barranquilla, Columbia, South America
- Hosted Girls Clubs of America Regional Conference, and persuaded them to move their regional office to Tampa
- Christmas gifts were sent to the county hospital
- Five members served on the YWCA Board
1975-1980
- Raised funds to purchase a facility for the Zonta Girls Club
- Sponsored telethon for American Cancer Society
- Supported Community Service Bazaar
1980-1985
- Zonta Girls Club outgrew new facility; raised $175,000 to build a new, larger club
- Increased scholarship program
- Added support to Alternate Education for pregnant teens and Special Olympics
1985-1990
- Developed a Career Assistant Program
- Adopted Women’s Survival Center for abused women and children
- Added support of the Judeo-Christian Health Clinic
- Continued support to Foster Grandparents/ Senior Companion Program
- Celebrated 50 Years of Service To The Tampa Bay Community
1990-1995
- Published international cookbook “What’s Cooking in the Zonta World” to continue support for the Zonta Boys and Girls Club and Zonta International Projects
- Added Literacy Project- Family Reading Festival
- Began award for Young Women in Public Affairs
- Continued Jane Dowdell Memorial Scholarship Grants
- Added support to Ronald McDonald House- lodging for parents whose children are seriously ill
1995-2000
- Continued support for Zonta Boys and Girls Club

Since 2000 The Zonta Club of Tampa continues:
- Raised $17,000 for playground equipment for the Zonta Boys and Girls Club
- Young Women in Public Affairs Grant awarded each year
- Annual “Status of Women” Award presented at Zontastic Luncheon to outstanding woman worker in the Tampa Bay Area
- Jane Dowdell Memorial Grants
- Continued support for Ronald McDonald House, and Zonta Boys and Girls Club
- Continued support for Zonta International Projects (see www.zonta.org)
- Memorial Tea to support health projects at the Judeo-Christian Clinic
